04/09/2010: Robins started
building a nest
under our deck this week for the first time in 6 years. I moved the
low-light X10 camera so I could keep an eye on it.
04/13/2010: I noticed 2 eggs in the nest today. Robins usually lay
one egg a
day. They won't warm up the eggs too much until there are three
or four
in the nest. This causes all the eggs to hatch at about the same time.
Since robin
eggs
typically hatch in 12-14 days, we should see baby robins the eggs
around April 25th.
04/16/2010: There were 3 eggs in the nest today.
Check below to see what the Robin family has been up to in the past hour. The images automatically refresh every 5 minutes.
